Crystal Light Review 2: Favorite Ways to Unwind
This is sponsored content from BlogHer and Crystal Light.
When you move into a newly constructed part of the neighborhood, it's unlikely that you or any of your neighbors are going to have a decent yard. For the first year, your yard is a prime spot for mud-wrestling and dirt pies. That's about it. So, when you start out the summer like this, and you haven't even finished your patio yet, you come up with new ways to unwind in the summer heat.
Sangria night in the driveways! Did you know that if you google "sangria AND crystal light" you get about 7,104 search results that all sound equally delicious and refreshing? I'm going to start trying them one after another, after another, after another. . .
Here's one to start you off, from George Stella of Food Network.
Now, picture a cool water bottle stuck in the sand as your bottle-holder, a packet of Crystal Light's Raspberry Green Tea, and that's a little slice of heaven right there.
I also spend much of my summer completely consumed with a good book (or 12). I try to keep summer reading light and fun. Next on my list: Mennonite in a Little Black Dress, followed by The Host. Who says English teachers have to read great works of art all the time?

What's the best summertime memory you have?
My best summertime memory is going to Disney world with my family.
Swim in the shade (hot days here in the desert), nap between 2-4 sometime when even the evap can’t keep up with it and putter in the garden while the sun goes down.
You are just like me. The ocean soothes my soul. There is something about the sun on your face and your toes in the sand!
I like to take my dogs for long walks through our field. They explore while I take photographs, it is a great way to soak up nature and get a little bit of exercise!
When it is too hot to go outside I like to curl up with a book and escape into someone else’s life for a while. Of course I also do this when my life gets too hectic and I need to clear my head.
Family, friends, food, and fun. It’s that simple. Cookout anyone?!
I had a blast at Myrtle Beach with my friends when I was 20.
I remember going to the Moose Lodge and swimming on the 4th of July. I remember Chicago’s “Saturday in the Park” playing on the radio and thinking it really fit.
Love to get in the pool with the kids! Nothing like splashing around to make you feel better.
Reading books for pleasure (a novelty for an English teacher) on my back porch, but better yet-reading to my son on our comfy outdoor couches on our back porch with yummy drinks and snacks. OH, and making homemade popsicles with Crystal light!!
we like to go to the mountains or camping! or curling up in the hammock w/ a good book! 🙂

We had a great time visiting Sea World last 4th of July. Fun shows, exciting rides, and beautiful fireworks are all parts of my best summer memory.
