Restored Faith in Humanity
I haven’t written about it at all this year. But now I’m going to in true Paula style. . .
SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW WHO WINS, DON’T READ THE REST OF THIS POST!!!
My heart is just. . . he was so. . . butterflies, fairies, lady bugs, river rocks. I can’t even. . . I’m still just, oh, my heart just soars for him because his soul sings the essence of the mountain breeze. . .
Ok, I can’t keep up this Paula-speak, but I can say, WOO HOO!!!! I knew David Cook would win because he just had to. I actually leaped off the couch (almost landing in my oatmeal bath for my arm) and pumped my fists in the air. My faith has been restored in American Idol. My faith has been restored in humanity.
Congratulations David Cook (and don’t you dare make fun of me for liking him or the show-I’m just too happy tonight to talk smart back at you if you do)!

Things You Could Care Less About
I’m with you all the way!!!! David Cook was sooo much more talented than David Archuletta. Archuletta has a wonderful voice – but that is it. David Cook was the whole package. Yay!!!!
He won!?
That’s pretty awesome from the standpoint of America having taste. I was sure David A. would win because America let’s me down. I’m not certain this is great news for David C.’s career but if he can keep it up the way he has throughout the competition, he’ll do great.

I used to like you, too. But American Idol? Really?
YES! My spouse and I have been behind David Cook nearly the whole season, so we’re leaping up in the air there with you.
Loved the live performances by George Michael, David Cook with ZZTop, Donna Summer, Seal, Gladys Knight (not live) with Robert Downey Jr., Jack Black, and Ben Stiller, Graham Nash (Crosby, Stills, Nash).
Also enjoyed the Davids performing the old Tom Cruise undershorts part from Risky Business in the Guitar Hero commercials.
I could go on, but I wouldn’t want to bore some of the elitist non-fans.

I haven’t watched since Amanda Overmeyer got kicked off. I put it on last night and David Cook was singing Bryan Adams – heavy sigh – love him- then he was singing with zz top
I was so happy he won, I jumped up and almost woke the princess
I’ve been a David Cook fan from the beginning of this season and am so happy he won. I jumped up off the couch too! Finally the best person won!
I try to watch this show, but just can’t do it. I like to see the initial auditions, but after that I just can’t take it.
As Paula would say…”David, you just rocked my world, and I’m so proud of all you wanted to accomplish, and did, and made us all so proud and happy, and when we buy your albums we will say we knew you when you were just a strange-haired word nerd, but we will know that you were destined for the greatness we knew you had in you, and the light that shines from your eyes–”
