Holiday in Review
In the interest of telling you about something other than my knee, here’s a little photo essay for you:
These pictures, taken the day before Christmas, mark the first time I laughed so hard I cried post surgery.
Why you should NEVER let Pop-Pop strap you in your car seat. . . "Um Pop-Pop, those straps go OVER my shoulders."
"No seriously. What’s the deal with this? Is someone going to fix it or what?"
Some kids like Santa. . .
And some kids think Santa is nothing more than a scary dude with bad fashion sense and a scratchy beard. . .
Some kids are wide awake on Christmas morning and open all of their gifts in 10 minutes flat. . .
. . . while others scoot down the stairs repeatedly saying "Oh MAN, back in da crib" because her big sister woke her up entirely too early. . .
"I’ll take one of Mommy’s Saltine’s before I even THINK about opening a present."
By Round three of visiting relatives, little people get a little happier (even if Mommy still looks fairly miserable).
Last but not least, because it had to be included, is Big I growing up or what? Slow down girl!
I hope you had a great holiday season. Happy New Year to everyone!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! It looks like you had a wonderful Christmas 🙂 Your girls are beautiful, and Big I is definitely growing up 🙂 Keep well!
I kind of feel sorry for Mr. BBM…those girls must look absolutely nothing like him as they look EXACTLY like their mom! (My kids don’t look much like my husband either and I think that bothers him a little.)They are gorgeous girls!
I too want to comment on how much your precious, beautiful girls look like you. People are going to think that you and Big I are sisters! And the darling way you fixed Little C’s hair (the only visible part in the Santa picture)! Too cute. At least you looked relatively comfortable on Christmas. I can totally relate to the “back in da crib part” too.
they are so cute. i was always the one that didn’t mind santa while my little sis would wail and scream. 🙂
I suppose it’s always possible that Big I has pulled off my feat. I look a lot like my Dad – anytime my mother isn’t in the room. If my mother is present, I bear such a striking resemblence to her that no one thinks I look like Dad at all. Careful analysis reveals Mom’s face over Dad’s bone structure.
Whomever they look like, they’re gorgeous girls. 😀
Aw, those are awesome photos, BBM. Glad to see something positive on here that I’m sure puts a smile on your face too. And that car seat one is priceless. My inlaws do pretty much the same thing and when we call them on it, my mother in law usually says she doesn’t want to make it too tight or it’ll hurt them. But, um, that’s what seat belts are supposed to be so they can restrain you…
Hope you’re feeling better these days!
OH MY BBM!!! That last picture of Big I brings tears to my eyes!!!! It’s perfect! Where did all those years go?!
Wow! Do your kids look like you or what?! Your post brings back some Christmas memories for me because my daughter took about 3 hours to open her presents. She’d open 1 and play with it and, when she felt like it, would open the next…and so on.
Your girls are absolutely precious! They look a lot like you!
Happy New Year to you!!
